Programme details:

LePAP is a great choice for accounting professional development and this programme is coordinated and managed by the Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA). The complete LePAP is in three (3) stages as follows: Technician Accounting Stage; General Accounting Stage and Chartered Accounting Stage. A student passing the LePAP programme can expect the best accounting jobs. Students who finish the Chartered Accounting Stage will become Chartered  Accountants, if they have hands on accounting experience in the profession. 

Learning, Teaching & Assessment: 

Guided Learning: The students will be exposed to lectures, tutorials, and supervised study by the teachers.

Lectures:

The teacher will present materials either orally or by the use of other teaching aids. Online Learning: The lecture notes, online tests, additional study material, discussion group and links to related subjects will be available to the students.

Independent Learning:

The Students will have to do self - directed independent learning where the teacher will be acting as a guide.

Assessment:

This will be of various types. It could be written or objective type (multiple choice) or a combination of both. For details refer to LIA website www.lia.org.Is

Admissions Criteria

1) Applicants should have Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) or equivalent with six (6) subjects and at least a credit in Mathematics and a pass (D) in English.

2) A 2 year relevant diploma accredited by CHE and approved by LIA

3) ‘A’ Level with 2 passes one of which must be in Maths

4) Non - relevant degrees
