Mr. Augustin Minalkar

Minalkar has over 20 years of experience in industry and academics. His career started as a Corporate Trainer in the IT industry in India and later he moved to the field of education as Lecturer in Computer Science & IT and worked at various reputable institutions in India. He also worked as a Senior Lecturer in countries such as Libya, Botswana and Lesotho. He was also a Head of the Department under the Faculty of Computing at Botho University Gaborone campus before he was promoted and transferred as Education Manager to Botho University Lesotho Campus. 

Along with his administrative role as Senior Education Manager where he manages three Faculties as Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Faculty of Business and Accounting (FBA) and Faculty of Health and Education (FHE), he also teaches various modules in the field of Computing and ICT and was a winner of Teaching Excellence Award for the entire Botho University. He has the credit of publishing 3 international research papers in Springer in the domain of Big Data. He led the team under the Quality Assurance department towards achieving ISO 9001:2015 certifications for Botho University Lesotho Campus.  

Miinalkar has played a very crucial role in designing, developing and implementing new programmes at Diploma, Degree and Honors Degree levels for Botho University, Botswana and Lesotho Campuses. Currently he is working as a Head & Coordinator of the development of 3 new Programmes under the Faculties of Engineering & Technology (FET), Faculty of Business & Accounting (FBA) and Faculty of Health & Education (FHE). He led the programme accreditation committee team and played a crucial role in obtaining accreditation from Council on Higher Education (CHE) for six Honours degrees, two Bachelor’s degrees, a Diploma and Professional Accounting programmes for Botho University.
